Hidden gem by the beach
Waking up each day to the tranquil atmosphere, we enjoyed exquisite vegan breakfasts while watching hummingbirds dance around. The staff's warmth felt like home, making our family connection even stronger.
However, the area felt somewhat isolated, making it necessary to rent a car or prepare for costly taxi rides. Swimming in the sea was tricky due to strong waves, limiting our water fun.

Casa Mauna impressed me with its chill vibe and stunning plant-based meals. Breakfast each day featured fresh, hearty options that made waking up exciting. I loved how the rooms were clean and beautifully maintained, highlighting the attention to detail. The proximity to a lovely beach enhanced my stay. It felt almost deserted, perfect for relaxing. On the downside, the area feels isolated, so renting a car might be necessary to explore further without high taxi costs. The sea was too choppy for swimming, but the pool area offered a serene spot to unwind. I'd recommend bringing snacks and drinks, as shopping isn’t convenient nearby. Overall, a memorable place for those seeking a peaceful escape, but better access to nearby amenities would be a plus.

Staying at Casa Mauna Boutique was a unique experience. The Deluxe Suite with a sea view had a beautiful backdrop and a comfy vibe. Mornings started with exceptional plant-based breakfasts. the dishes were fresh and flavorful. I really enjoyed the summer rolls and the vegan Baileys during dinner. The pool area was perfect for relaxing with tasty cocktails. However, the remote location posed challenges. Limited dining options nearby meant planning ahead for groceries. The ocean view from my suite didn’t match the pictures. It was partially obstructed by trees, which was disappointing. Mosquitoes were a frequent nuisance. having some repellant on hand was essential. Despite these hiccups, I loved the tranquil atmosphere and the chance to unwind with nature around me. Would consider staying again, but I'd come prepared with snacks and drinks.

The Deluxe Suite featured a stunning sea view, highlighting the beautiful landscape and providing a spacious retreat. The pool area had a relaxing vibe, with plenty of spots to unwind, and the beach nearby felt near deserted, perfect for enjoying the sun and sand in peace.
The hotel's remote location means you're at least an hour from excursions like Hualtulco and Turtle Release. this drives up taxi costs if you don’t rent a car, making planning a bit tedious. Additionally, the variety in food offerings, particularly for lunch and dinner, could use some improvement as many dishes began to taste quite similar over an extended stay. If you're looking for nearby shopping options, you’ll find yourself out of luck, so stocking up on groceries while en route from the airport is a must.
